The Godfather

In the late summer of 1945, Vito Corleone hosts the wedding reception for his daughter Connie Corleone and Carlo Rizzi. Vito Corleone to his friends and family was known as “Poppa”, but to his friends and associates he was known as The Godfather, who was head at the Corleone Mafia family. Vito Corleone has four children. His eldest son’s name was Sonny, but he was ambushed and shot to death in his car trying to protect his sister Connie from her husband Carlo from brutalizing her. Fredo Corleone is who  the family considers to be weak and as a little boy very sickly. Fredo witnessed his father being shot, unable to cope with this he was sent to Las Vegas. Michael is the youngest son, but Fredo was passed up so Michael would be head of the Corleone crime family.
